The proposed course intends to provide a setting for optimal interaction of young researchers from Romania and neighbouring countries with top experts in the field of non-invasive biophysical and bioelectrochemistry techniques currently used or just developing for use in biological and medical research. A high level research training is assured during lectures, tutorial seminars and poster discussion due to the modern topics as well as to the lecturers, many of them being architects in their fields. The main topics will concern the biotechnological and clinical applications of electropermeabilization and applied nanotechnology, up to date optical methods of diagnosis and therapy, principles of electron transport or molecular modeling as well as more basic phenomena related to bioelectrochemical complexity of cell membrane. Location in a quiet mountain setting in the vicinity of the Cistercian fortified Cisnadioara (Michelsberg) church offers excellent opportunities for spending time together during informal activities such as meals, walks and discussion.
Elimheim Cisnădioara (situated at 17 km from Sibiu) will host our course.
A MaxiTaxi shuttle connects Sibiu to Cisnadioara.
Schedule:
To Cisnadioara (departure from Railway Station Square-Sibiu): 6.00, 7.15, 12.15, 13.45, 15.15, 16.45, 18.15, 22.30
To Sibiu (departure from Cisnadioara center): 5.40, 6.40, 8.10, 13.10, 14.40, 16.10, 17.25, 19.10, 23.25
