The proposed course intends to provide a setting for optimal interaction of young researchers from Romania and neighboring countries with top experts in the field of non-invasive biophysical and bioelectrochemistry techniques currently used or just developing for use in biological and medical research. A high level research training by lectures, tutorial seminars and poster discussion is due to the modern topics as well as to the lecturers, many of them being architects of their research field.
The main topics will concern the biotechnological and clinical applications of electropermeabilization and applied nanotechnology, structure and functioning of molecular motors as well as more basic phenomena related to bioelectrochemical complexity of cell membranes and practical research strategies related to choosing the most appropriate method in certain circumstances.
The location in a quiet mountain setting of Vulcan offers excellent opportunities to be together during informal activities such as meals, walks and discussion. The Rest House of the Evangelic Church in Vulcan (situated at 17 km from Brasov) will host our course. A regular bus connects Brasov to Vulcan (schedule).
